Pair of Chinese Blanc de Chine Porcelain Fu Dogs / Buddhist Lions, Dehua, 19th C. - Pair of Chinese Blanc de Chine porcelain guardian lions, commonly called fu dogs or Buddhist lions, likely Dehua, 19th century, each modeled seated on a rectangular pedestal base with open mouth, curled mane, beaded collar, tassel ornaments, and molded base panels. The pair is executed in a creamy white glaze with detailed relief modeling and hollow bases, and each retains a small cylindrical aperture behind the figure. Dimensions: 9 in. H, 3 in. W, 5.5 in. D. Condition: Good antique condition with light surface wear, glaze discoloration, firing irregularities, and residue/soiling to hollow interiors.
