Argentor Jugendstil Figural Table Lamp with Loetz-Attributed Iridescent Glass Shade - Maker: Argentor-Werke Rust & Hetzel, Vienna; glass shade attributed to Joh. Loetz Witwe, Klostermühle, Bohemia Date: Early 20th century, circa 1902–1910 Period/Style: Austrian Jugendstil / Vienna Secession Materials: Silver-plated metal, iridescent art glass, applied glass cabochons, and electrical fittings Form: Single-light figural table lamp Description: A fine Austrian Jugendstil table lamp with a slender silver-plated standard modeled as a stylized female figure supporting an open oval framework and domed iridescent glass shade. The orange-red shade, attributed to Loetz, is decorated with flowing organic motifs in pink, violet, and silvery iridescence and applied ruby-colored glass cabochons, retained beneath a foliate cap and ball finial. The spreading circular base incorporates stylized foliate panels and concentric ribbing. The underside is stamped ARGENTOR with an A S mark. Fitted with a single socket and inline switch. Dimensions: 18 in. H; base 5 in. diameter; shade 6 in. diameter. Condition: Overall good antique condition. The metal base shows scattered oxidation, tarnish, rubbing, scratches, and areas of finish loss consistent with age and use. The shade has minor surface imperfections and scattered inclusions; no obvious major chips or cracks are visible. Electrical fittings, cord, and inline switch appear later and have not been tested.
