Pair French Gilt-Brass Mounted Porcelain Figural Urns - Date: Late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1890–1910 Period/Style: French Belle Époque, Louis XVI Revival Materials: Crackle-glazed porcelain and gilt brass Form: Pair of decorative urns Description: A fine pair of French cream-colored crackle-glazed porcelain urns with elaborate gilt-brass mounts. Each ovoid body is encircled by scrolling floral and foliate garlands with pendant masks and surmounted by four classically draped female figures seated around the shoulder. The necks are fitted with acanthus and beaded mounts, while the bodies terminate in foliate cups raised upon richly cast circular pedestal bases. Dimensions: Each 16 in. H × 10 in. W × 8 in. D.
