The repousse oil reservoir or font is decorated with fruit, flowers, butterflies, and scrolling foliage above a reeded lower bowl and openwork architectural standard composed of slender supports, pendant ornament, and decorative finials. The shaped quatrefoil base incorporates additional repousse floral ornament, patterned borders, and bracket feet. The precisely fitted upper assembly retains its oil reservoir and E. Miller & Co. Duplex two-wick burner. The base bears the production or assembly number 38. Fitted with a large green crackle-glass globe, likely associated. The lamp remains configured for oil and has not been electrified. Dimensions: 34 in. H; shade 9 in. diameter. Condition: Overall good antique condition with tarnish, oxidation, surface darkening, scratches, abrasions, and scattered wear or losses to the plated finish. Minor bending, looseness, or irregularities may be present among the slender openwork supports and projecting ornament. The green crackle-glass globe appears free of major cracks from the photographs but is likely an associated replacement rather than the original shade. The precisely fitted oil reservoir and E. Miller & Co. Duplex burner appear original to the lamp. The lamp has not been electrified. The burner, wick mechanisms, reservoir, and oil-burning operation have not been tested.
