The sweeping case is richly veneered in figured burl walnut and supported by three substantial turned and faceted walnut legs ending in brass casters. The fitted music desk has a pierced foliate design centered by a lyre, while the carved pedal support carries two wooden pedals. The straight-strung interior retains its soundboard, iron bracing, strings, dampers, and period Patent Repetition Grand designation. Marks: Gilt-lettered John Broadwood & Sons / London to the ebonized nameboard. The interior is marked Patent / Repetition Grand / No. 2360. Dimensions: 39.5 in. H, 55.5 in. W, 91 in. L.
