Set 13 Dutch Baroque Revival Chairs - Origin: Continental European, probably Netherlands Date: Circa 1890-1910 Period/Style: Dutch Baroque Revival Materials: Walnut, contrasting line inlay, leather, and brass nailheads Form: Dining chair suite Description: Large suite of thirteen walnut dining chairs, probably Dutch, circa 1890-1910, comprising two armchairs and eleven side chairs. Each tall molded back centers a vase-shaped splat with an inlaid oval medallion beneath a carved palmette crest. Black leather seats secured with brass nailheads rise above carved scroll-front legs, pierced C-scroll front stretchers, and turned side and rear stretchers. The armchairs have outswept arms terminating in carved scrolls. Dimensions: Each approximately 44 in. H, up to 26 in. W, 18 in. D; seat height 19.5 in.
