Walnut Renaissance Revival Hall Tree - Origin: American Date: Circa 1875-1885 Period/Style: American Renaissance Revival with Eastlake influence Materials: Walnut, burl-walnut veneer, white marble, mirror glass, and cast iron Form: Hall tree and umbrella stand Description: Monumental American Renaissance Revival walnut hall tree, circa 1875-1885. The architectural crest incorporates carved scrollwork, incised ornament, burl-walnut panels, and diamond-form colored accents above a large rectangular mirror. Flanking stiles are fitted with turned coat pegs and suspended carved pendants. The lower section has scrolling umbrella arms, a white marble shelf above a single drawer, and two removable cast-iron drip pans embossed with radiating floral designs. Raised on a shaped plinth with block feet. Dimensions: 104 in. H, 53 in. W, 14 in. D.
