Red and black lacquered wooden box, Qing dynasty.
Both parts of the box have decoration on the outside. Two scenes with a similar theme are shown, one with children playing and the other with a wise man and a girl. Both scenes are surrounded by a landscape with rocks and trees. The background is Carved in red lacquer with geometric motifs: rhombuses with flowers, triangles, rectangles and waves. In very good condition with slight losses in the lacquered edges.
