Cheng-xiang’ or Agar bead bracelet, 20th century - Formed by fourteen spherical beads of carved ‘沉香’ Agarwood. Each one shows the natural grain of the wood, with a pattern reminiscent of a tiger's fur. Dark resinous wood with a fragrant odour, now scarce, and commonly used for the manufacture of incense, perfume and carved figures. Due to its scarcity, it is one of the most valued woods.
