Japanese Imari ‘Cranes’ porcelain dish, 20th century - A large porcelain dish with coloured enamel decoration. The centre of the plate depicts a scene of two stylised cranes resting at sunset on a calm lake, next to elongated bamboo branches and small flowers. The lobed border alternates geometric patterns with flowers, with elongated cartouches of small winged birds stretched out on curled clouds. Diameter: 41.50 cm
