Carved jade ‘Sage and Poem’, Qing dynasty - Carved jade, of a soft whitish hue, with subtle golden and reddish flecks. It is oval in shape with rounded edges and is decorated on both sides. One side shows the image of a wise old man with a serene expression, wearing a long robe and sitting among high, craggy rocks surrounded by thin bamboo branches. On the back is an elongated, incised poem. With a custom-made box. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.  Size: 11 x 2.2 x 5.6 cm Weight: 177 g
