Carved agate ‘Dzi’ bead with two-coloured stripes, Tang dynasty - The bead is carved in the shape of a rounded profile pod, slightly narrower at the ends, made of two-coloured, dark-toned, carved agate, with a total of five vertical stripes of a deep orange colour. The surface is subtly embossed with a succession of small engraved circles. Tang Dynasty (618 - 906) or later.  Length: 6.3 cm; Diameter: 1.7 cm  Weight: 30 g
