Jade seal, ‘Reclining Animal,’ Qing dynasty - Rectangular seal made of greenish jade with traces of red sealing wax on the base. The upper part is topped by the carving of a reclining animal with an elongated body and turned head, worked with incised details on the mane and face. The base bears the inscription ‘书生习气未能无’.
