Carved jade ‘Beast’ seal, Ming dynasty - A cream-coloured jade carving with dark veins, featuring a rectangular base on which stands the figure of a robust-looking beast. The surface retains its patina and shows signs of wear. The bottom bears a seal inscribed with the characters ‘无使名过实’. Ming dynasty (1368–1644) or later. Size: 3.6 × 3.1 × 2.5 cm Weight: 53.4 g
