Small jade seal ‘Beast’, Ming dynasty - Carved ivory-coloured jade piece with natural dark veins. The upper part shows a reclining mythical beast, crafted with details on the back and limbs. The base retains traces of reddish sealing wax and bears the engraved inscription ‘吾知拙养尊’. Ming dynasty (1368–1644) or later. Size: 4.3 × 2.7 × 2.3 cm Weight: 57.5 g
