Carved jade pendant ‘Mask’, Liangzhu culture - Yellowish ochre jade with whitish veins and speckles. It features a head with large almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nose and a wide mouth, all rendered in relief, flanked by two lateral protuberances resembling ears or horns. It has a hole for hanging. It shows patina and wear due to ageing. Liangzhu culture (approx. 3300–2300 BC) or later. Size: 7.1 x 4.6 x 2.8 cm Weight: 93 g Provenance: · Collection of Tommy Lam, Hong Kong, since 1980.
