Small Shoushan seal ‘Lion with cub’, Qing dynasty - A carved Shoushan stone in honey tones. It depicts a Buddhist lion accompanied by its cub, both with rounded forms, long manes of finely incised hair and serene expressions, resting on a bed of sinuous clouds. One side of the base bears an incised inscription. The impression base retains traces of cinnabar and features a carved inscription. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Size: 2.6 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm Weight: 26.7 g
