Shoushan seal, ‘Landscape among Trees’, Qing Dynasty - A carved Shoushan stone with a honey-coloured tone and darker areas. It has an elongated rectangular shape, with a rounded top. The body is decorated with a traditional landscape in relief, depicting figures, boats and buildings hidden amongst trees and rock formations. The front bears an incised inscription. The base retains traces of cinnabar and features carved characters. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Size: 11 x 3.7 x 3.9 cm Weight: 387.52 g Provenance: French private collection.
