Shoushan ‘Luohan’ seal, Qing dynasty - A carved Shoushan stone in shades of ochre and yellow, with a square base. It depicts a Luohan, or Buddhist sage, seated in a meditative posture, wearing a flowing robe and with a serene expression. One of the sides bears an incised inscription. The base features carved characters. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Size: 6.5 x 3.4 x 3.4 cm Weight: 110 g Provenance: French private collection.
