Shoushan seal, “Reclining Beast”, Qing Dynasty - Carved Shoushan stone in cream and honey tones with subtle reddish veins. It depicts a reclining Buddhist beast or lion, with an arched body and a tilted head, displaying an intense expression with its jaws open. The sides bear extensive incised inscriptions. The base retains traces of cinnabar and features a long carved inscription. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Size: 6 x 8.5 x 9.6 cm Weight: 697 g Provenance: French private collection
