Small gilded bronze seal, Qing dynasty - A cast bronze seal, gilded over the fire, with a rectangular base. The upper rim features a vertical handle, with simple, functional lines, designed to facilitate a firm grip. The piece is unadorned. The impression surface retains traces of cinnabar and features characters carved in the seal script style. It displays a natural patina resulting from the passage of time. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
