Glazed ceramic tripod incense burner, Song dynasty - Made of hand-built ceramic, covered with a pale green glaze over which a fine network of craquelure stands out. The piece has a cylindrical body, resting on three short ‘hoof’-shaped feet, and is decorated with horizontal bands in relief, paying homage to the designs of archaic bronzes.
