Yellow-glazed porcelain cup, Ming dynasty - A monochrome porcelain piece in the classic bowl shape, with thin, curved walls that widen gently from the base towards a wide, circular rim. The piece is notable for being entirely covered in a yellow ‘goose-skin’ or ‘imperial’ glaze. On the base, it bears a six-character mark in blue under the glaze (大明弘治年制). Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).
