Carved white jade ‘Mountain and Poem’, Qing Dynasty - Pale white jade with subtle ochre veins. The piece is carved in the shape of a mountain, featuring a complex landscape in bas-relief with pine trees, paths and pavilions. It depicts a scene with figures in a boat travelling down a river. One of the smooth sides bears a lengthy inscription, incised and gilded. The piece rests on a carved wooden plinth. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Siz: 17.5 x 8.3 x 27.8 cm (approx.) Weight: 4900 g
