Large spinach-green jade ‘Dragon’ incense burner, Qing Dynasty - Spinach-green nephrite jade, carved into the shape of a large incense burner with a hemispherical body comprising multiple detachable sections. The piece stands on a flared base profusely openwork with scroll and dragon motifs, which supports a central shaft featuring movable rings. The main body, decorated with floral reliefs, is flanked by two imposing openwork handles in the shape of dragon heads supporting movable rings. The ensemble is completed by a concave-shaped lid with openwork decoration, crowned by a finial featuring a dragon carved in the round. The piece rests on a carved wooden base decorated with cloud and scroll motifs. Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). Size: 55 x 22.7 x 37 cm Weight: 7700 g
