White jade and sandalwood incense burner, Qing Dynasty - Carved natural white jade. It has a circular body with low sides, flanked by two handles carved in the shape of dragon heads from which movable rings hang. The exterior is decorated with scrolls and fretwork in relief. It is topped by a finely carved sandalwood lid featuring openwork foliage motifs and crowned with a lingzhi mushroom-shaped knob. The piece rests on a carved wooden base decorated with cloud and wave motifs. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Size: 4 x 9 x 12.7 cm (approx.). Weight: 203 g
