White jade incense burner, Qing Dynasty - Translucent white jade with a polished finish, carved in the shape of an incense burner with a hemispherical body and lid, resting on a slender foot comprising a cylindrical shaft and a flared base. The piece is flanked by two openwork handles on the body, which support movable rings, and the shaft features two geometric side inlays. The body and lid are adorned with a raised band featuring a carved frieze in an archaic style, whilst the lid, openwork at the top, is finished with a circular handle. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
