Hetian jade and wood brush rest, Qing dynasty - White jade with honey-orange streaks. The piece consists of a rectangular jade plaque set within a wooden frame; the surface of the jade is decorated in bas-relief with two facing dragons, whose sinuous bodies intertwine amongst swirling clouds. The wooden base is carved with an architectural profile featuring four scroll-shaped feet. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). Jade size: 4.3 x 9.8 cm. Total size: 3.3 x 5.7 x 14.5 cm Weight: 182 g (approx.)
