Mechanical walking doll, Florido , Spain, c. 1920–1922 - Walking doll from the Spanish firm Florido (c. 1920–1922). A collector’s item featuring a composite structure, natural hair and sleeping eyes. It has a functional internal walking mechanism operated by a connecting rod that synchronises the walking motion with the turning of the head; the face has a pale patina due to age, there is some looseness in the left arm, and the shoes are engraved with the number ‘18’ Size: 73.5 cm - Large private Spanish collection.
