Attributed to Alejo de Vahía (Renania region? - Becerril de Campos, Palencia, 1515) - Active between 1480 and 1515 ”Saint John the Baptist” Carved wooden sculpture. The saint is depicted in the customary way, bearded and with long hair, carrying the Holy Scriptures in his left hand. His attribute, the lamb, appears on the Scriptures. Reference images include the Saint John the Baptist in the Museu Marès in Barcelona, and the Saint Onuphrius in the National Sculpture Museum in Valladolid Also, the Saint John the Baptist which came from the Brotherhood of Saint John the Baptist, which can be found at the Real Cofradía del Santo Sepulcro in Palencia 45 x 32 x 18 cm.
