Large and imposing painted glass hanging, with a central scene in oil on copper and with a wrought silver frame. Colonial School. Mexico or Peru. 18th century. - The central medallion, in oil on copper, depicts a “verdadero retrato” (true portrait) of the Madonna and Child. The gilded and painted glass maintains the octagonal shape of the silver frame and is decorated with garlands of flowers and cartouches with rockery decoration. 13 x 9 cm.
