Relief measurements: 23 x 16,5 cm. Frame measurements: 45 x 38,5 cm.
Huamanga stone is a type of white alabaster with delicate transparent parts. The name of it comes from the place where it is quarried, Huamanga, which is now in the region of Ayacucho and which became a production centre for impressive sculptures and reliefs, usually dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Christ and saints.
