Antique Fulton Conway and Co Wagon and Carriage Material Wooden Advertising Crate - 9”x20”x6.5” - This antique wooden shipping crate was produced for Fulton, Conway and Co. (Incorporated) of Louisville, Kentucky. The rectangular crate is constructed from thick natural wood planks secured with iron nails. The front panel features black stenciled branding arranged in five lines of text. The stencil reads: FULTON, CONWAY and CO. / (INCORPORATED) / WAGON AND CARRIAGE / MATERIAL / LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY. The design includes decorative horizontal bars and arrow-shaped motifs flanking the text. Dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, this utilitarian object was used to transport materials for the horse-drawn vehicle industry. The interior remains unfinished, showing the raw texture and grain of the wood planks. - 9”x20”x6.5”
