Hart Manufacturing Co. Miniature Pure Kentucky White Corn Whiskey Jug - 2.5”x4” - This is a miniature advertising whiskey jug, often referred to as a ”nip” jug, produced by the Hart Manufacturing Company. The jug features a traditional bulbous form with a small applied loop handle at the neck. It is constructed from unglazed buff-colored stoneware with a dry finish. The front of the body is stamped in dark ink with the text PURE KENTUCKY WHITE CORN. The underside of the base features a clear, circular stamp in blue ink that reads: HART MFG. CO. INCORPORATED LOUISVILLE KY. The stoneware body displays characteristic ”salt and pepper” dark specks throughout, resulting from kiln dust during the firing process.
