A promotional die-cast metal coin bank by Banthrico, Inc., Chicago, is modeled after a Model T Ford sedan. It features a bronze-toned finish with black wheels and a steel baseplate. The roof is printed in black with advertising for Louisville Home Federal Savings and Loan Association, 150 South Fifth Street, Louisville 2, Kentucky. The presence of a postal zone number indicates a manufacture date between 1943 and 1963. The underside includes a locking trap door with an embossed manufacturer mark. A primitive wooden coin bank features a rectangular form with a metal inset coin slot at the top. The side is carved and painted in red with Louisville Ky. The front displays a stamped clock face and the digits 3 9 2 6. An advertising ice pick consists of a turned wooden handle and a steel pick. The handle is printed with Grocers Ice & Cold Storage in black, along with red promotional text regarding safe food temperatures and humidity protection.
