Two-Piece Cast Iron Lamb Cake Mold, Model No. 866 5”X12”X8” - Attributed to the Griswold Manufacturing Company, this two-piece figural baking mold is crafted from cast iron with a dark, seasoned finish. The mold is designed in the form of a reclining lamb and consists of matching front and back halves that fit together to create a three-dimensional form. The exterior casting features detailed sculptural elements, including textured fleece and facial features. The base of the front piece displays the raised identification NO 866. Each half includes integrated loop handles located at the head and tail sections. The back half of the mold is equipped with small circular apertures that serve as steam vents during the baking process. The entire assembly rests on four small protruding feet located at the base.
