Antique Noris Cast Iron and Graniteware Table Mount Rotary Grater 4”X10”X12” - This antique hand-cranked rotary food grater was manufactured by the Noris company, a brand associated with the metalworking industry of Nuremberg, Germany. The device is designed for table or countertop mounting and features an ornate cast iron frame and crank assembly. The decorative casting includes architectural elements such as fluted columns, Greek key motifs, and scrolled foliate patterns. The feed hopper is constructed from mottled blue and white enamelware, commonly referred to as graniteware. The internal mechanism consists of a perforated metal grating drum operated by an S-curved crank finished with a turned wooden handle. The base is equipped with an integrated screw-clamp for securing the unit to a work surface. The circular faceplate is cast in relief with the maker name NORIS and smaller characters that appear to read No followed by a partially obscured model number.
