Contemporary Manganese-Daubed Redware Paper Towel Dispenser with Wooden Lid 8”X15” - A contemporary hand-thrown ceramic paper towel dispenser designed in the style of a traditional lidded crock. The cylindrical vessel is constructed from red clay and finished in a glossy warm brown glaze featuring dark brown manganese-style daubed or sponged markings throughout. A vertical slot is integrated into the side of the body for dispensing paper towels, and horizontal throwing rings are visible on the exterior surface. The piece includes a separate flat-turned wooden lid with a central knob. No maker marks, factory stamps, or capacity markings are present. With repaired crack as pictured.
