American Country Primitive Pine Two-Door Wardrobe, Late 19th to Early 20th Century 22”X53”X84” - A one-piece American Country primitive-style two-door wardrobe constructed from softwood, likely pine or poplar. The cabinet features a straightforward rectangular form topped with a flared cove-molded cornice. Each door is designed with three vertical recessed panels. The side panels are integral to the construction, extending to form bracket-style feet at the base. The back of the wardrobe is composed of wide, horizontally oriented, rough-sawn planks. The interior is divided by a central vertical partition. The left compartment contains a single upper shelf and a metal hanging rod, while the right compartment is configured with two upper shelves and a lower metal hanging rod. Hardware includes iron barrel hinges, a wooden swivel turn-latch, and two inset mortise locks. A modern plastic adhesive hook is attached to the interior of the right door. No maker marks, stamps, or labels were found during inspection.
