A Pair of Antique American Glazed Stoneware Utility Jars 6”X8.5” - This lot features a pair of antique American stoneware utility jars, also known as crocks, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Both vessels are constructed in a straight-sided cylindrical form and finished with thick, rounded rims. The first crock is coated in a deep mahogany-colored ferruginous glaze, characteristic of an Albany-type slip. The second crock features a tan salt-glazed exterior with a contrasting dark brown slip-glazed interior. Both items represent standard functional utility wares of the period and do not bear any visible maker marks, manufacturer stamps, or capacity indicators.
