Two-Piece Antique Mottled Grey Graniteware Wall-Mounted Box and Scoop Set 3.5”X5”X7” - This two-piece set of American kitchenalia from the late 19th to early 20th century consists of a wall-mounted container and a matching hand-held scoop. The items are constructed of stamped base metal with a mottled grey and white enamel dip finish, a style commonly referred to as graniteware. The wall-mounted box features a flat back with a single pre-drilled hole for mounting and a rounded front accented by three horizontal reinforcing ribs. The accompanying scoop is designed with a wide, flat, shovel-form blade and a small looped handle at the rear. This type of set was traditionally used for storing and dispensing salt or matches in a domestic kitchen environment. No maker marks, stamps, or identifying labels are visible on either piece.
