Hubley Manufacturing Company Horse-Drawn Carriage Doorstop 4”X19”X9” - This vintage cast iron doorstop is a single-sided relief casting of an ornate horse-drawn carriage or stagecoach. The design features a detailed enclosed carriage with four spoked wheels pulled by a pair of harnessed horses. The piece retains portions of its original polychrome paint, including white, green, and gold accents. The reverse side of the object is hollow-cast and features the incised mold number 572 on the back of the carriage body. This mold number is believed but not verified to be a documented identifier for items produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
