Antique Beehive Style Wood Mantel Clock Attributed to Gustav Becker 6”X10”X13” - This mechanical mantel clock features an arched beehive-style case constructed of stained hardwood with a dark reddish-brown finish. The clock is attributed to Gustav Becker based on the distinctive embossed floral and starburst decorative plate attached to the striking mechanism within the movement. The eight-day mechanical movement provides time and strike functions, hitting a spiral wire gong located inside the case. The movement backplate is stamped with the markings A18 and 15. The silvered metal dial is set with black Arabic numerals, a block-style outer minute track, and two winding arbors. It is finished with black spade-shaped hands and protected by a hinged brass bezel with a glass lens. The case front is accented with two rectangular panels outlined in gold-toned borders and the entire piece sits on four brass ball feet. A winding key is included.
