A Pair of Decoupage Wood Plaques Featuring Kentucky Equestrian Scenes, Attributed to Helen Stark 15”X10” - These two items are decorative wall plaques created in the decoupage style. Each piece consists of a color lithographic print, likely repurposed from a commercial calendar, mounted to a solid wood plaque with beveled edges and finished with a thick, high-gloss resin topcoat. The prints are identified by small printed labels on the front: one depicts Thoroughbreds at Claiborne Farm near Paris, Kentucky, and the other shows horses in the Bluegrass Region around Lexington, Kentucky. The reverse sides are finished with a clear coat and include sawtooth hangers for wall mounting. Both plaques feature handwritten ink inscriptions on the back. The inscription on the left plaque reads: Standard Oil calendar print around 1969 Helen Stark. The inscription on the right plaque reads: Standard oil calendar print around 1969 Helen Stark.
