Ansonia Clock Co. Victorian Gothic Steeple Mantel Clock 5”X11”X20” - An American Victorian Gothic steeple mantel clock manufactured by the Ansonia Clock Co. The wooden case features a dual-peaked architectural top accented with turned finials and side columns. The front of the case houses a two-part glazed door. The upper portion displays a painted dial with Roman numerals and two winding apertures. The lower glass panel is decorated with a polychrome transfer-printed image of a winged cherub with floral garlands. The interior includes a cast-iron gong mount embossed with Ansonia Clock Co. and a partial original paper label. The label includes the maker name and locations in New York and Ansonia, Connecticut, along with text referring to Eight Day and Thirty Hour Gothic models. This lot includes a brass-faced pendulum and a steel double-ended winding key.
