Seth Thomas Wood Case Mechanical Mantel Clock 5”X9”X15” - This is a mechanical mantel clock manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in the United States. The dark-stained wood case features a decorative peaked pediment with a central turned finial and a stepped plinth base. A hinged front door with a clear glass pane covers the rectangular dial. The dial is designed with a circular chapter ring with black Roman numerals and is decorated at the spandrels with floral motifs of pink roses and green leaves. This model is identified as the Primrose pattern in visual reference materials. The movement is a mechanical 8-day time and strike type with two winding arbors and an internal metal coil gong. The dial is marked SETH THOMAS in the center and MADE IN U.S.A. at the bottom edge. The clock is accompanied by a brass-faced pendulum bob and a brass butterfly-style winding key.
