The piece depicts a standing Boston Terrier dog with its head slightly turned to the side. It is constructed from two cast iron halves joined by a single flat-head screw on the right side. A coin entry slot is located on the upper back, just behind the neck. The bank features original paint in black and a faded yellowish-cream color, with red detailing on the eyes and mouth.
