A Pair of Horse-Drawn Milk and U.S. Mail Delivery Wagons 3”X7”X3” - A pair of horse-drawn delivery wagons in the style of early 20th-century toys by manufacturers such as Hubley or Kenton. These items are constructed of cast iron and feature a simple rolling mechanism with wheels attached via metal axles. The first wagon is a milk delivery vehicle with a red body and raised, hand-painted white letters spelling MILK on the sides. It is drawn by a single-piece white horse with a black mane and tail and maroon harness details. The second wagon is a U.S. Mail vehicle with a green body and raised gold-tone letters spelling U.S. MAIL within a gold-painted rectangular border. This wagon is drawn by a single-piece brown horse featuring gold-tone harness details. Both wagons are equipped with black spoked wheels. No manufacturer marks are visible on either piece.
