Cast Iron English Setter Hunting Dog Figurine, Attributed, but not verified, to Hubley 5”X14”X8” - An antique style cast iron figurine of a hunting dog, modeled as an English Setter or Pointer in a classic pointing stance. This piece, attributed, but not verified, to the Hubley Manufacturing Company, features a two-piece cast construction joined at the midsection, evidenced by the circular recessed assembly marks visible on the flanks. The dog is depicted in a characteristic pose with its right front paw lifted and tail extended. The figurine retains traces of its original polychrome painted finish in off-white with black markings on the head and upper body. These heavy cast pieces were frequently used as decorative doorstops in the early to mid-20th century.
