Two Horse-Drawn Wagons Attributed, but not verified, to Kenton 3”X13”X5” - Two horse-drawn wagons attributed, but not verified, to Kenton Toys of Kenton, Ohio. This lot features two distinct styles of transport: one covered Conestoga-style wagon and one open farm or dray wagon. Both pieces are constructed of cast iron and utilize a consistent color scheme consisting of blue-painted bodies, yellow-painted spoked wheels, and red-painted hitches and undercarriages. The covered wagon includes a cream-colored fabric canopy. The horse teams are cast as pairs; one team is finished in dark brown paint and the other in black paint. Both teams are mounted on small internal wheels to facilitate movement. These items represent American cast iron toy production from the early 20th century. No manufacturer marks or stamps were found during inspection. Driver figures are not included with either wagon.
